FIRST ANTHEM ANGEL HONORED IN 2010

INDIANAPOLIS – The Indianapolis Colts are proud to announce the first “Anthem Angel” of the 2010-2011 seasons: Harold House.

Harold House is a local educator of national prominence and has dedicated his time and talents to the youth of Indiana through numerous initiatives. He has promoted the participation of special needs students in the Payback Classic by having football players serve as mentors for children with exceptionalities. Vikings jersey
Harold has also assisted in the development of the Pacers Academy at Union Station, a program which provides opportunities for at-risk students. In addition, Harold has raised funds amounting to over $200 million for community programs that assist vulnerable youth. Harold has been named the National Public Citizen of the Year by the National Association of Social Workers and received the Eli Lilly & Company’s Lifetime Achievement Award. Harold was also named Outstanding Special Education Teacher by the National Association of Teachers in 2008 and has served as a former mayor and municipal judge. Currently, Harold works as teacher and special education compliance monitor at the Marion County Juvenile Detention Center.
In honor of Harold’s outstanding service, he received Colts jersey
four (4) VIP Club Seat Tickets the Colts vs. Giants game, a feature story with their photo in the Colts game day magazine (the Scout), as well as on-field recognition at the game.
“Anthem Angels…Honoring Everyday Heroes” was established by the Indianapolis Colts and Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield to pay tribute to Hoosier “First Respondents” who have gone above the call of duty in human-service related professions.
